Conception Problems
The one thing that can be more frustrating than being a parent is trying to become one with no success. For one in seven couples, conceiving a child can be a long and difficult process-it can take at least one year and sometimes requires several.

Some "trying" couples are infertile because of physical problems. But most couples are simply "underfertile" --they are physically able to conceive but have to nudge the stork just a bit more than usual. Here's what experts recommend for them.

Take cough syrup. "Before we had high-tech measures, a lot of doctors would recommend that women take cough syrup containing guaifenesin about four times a day around the time of ovulation," according to Arthur L. Wisot, M.D., a fertility specialist who is affiliated with the Center for Advanced Reproductive Care in Redondo Beach, California. "And that's still sound advice, because guaifenesin thins the cervical mucus, making it easier for sperm to swim through to meet the egg."

Don't lubricate with commercial products. When intercourse needs a helping hand, couples sometimes use a commercial lubricant like K-Y Jelly. But that can hurt your chances of conceiving. That's because these products can impair sperm, making them less able to reach the egg, says John Willems, M.D., associate clinical professor of obstetrics/gynecolo gy at the University of California, San Diego, and a researcher at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in LaJolla. "A woman's natural lubricants should be all you need."

But egg white may help. If you need a lubricant during intercourse, try using egg white instead of a pharmaceutical lubricant, suggests Andrew Toledo, M.D., a fertility specialist and reproductive endocrinologist who is assistant clinical professor of medicine in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University in Atlanta. Because the egg white lubricant is pure protein--as are sperm--it makes a better "carrier" than lubricants made from nonprotein substances.

If dryness is a problem, Dr. Toledo recommends using the egg white lubricant during the days when a woman is fertile and a regular lubricant the rest of the time. But don't use egg white if you're allergic to it, and be sure to separate the white from the yolk before applying it to either the penis or the vagina.

Take more vitamin C. Studies by researchers at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston show that large doses of vitamin C can reverse some cases of male infertility. The team there, headed by Earl B. Dawson, Ph.D., reported that men who increased their vitamin C intake to 1,000 milligrams daily (the Recommended Dietary Allowance is 60 milligrams) showed increased sperm count, motility and longevity.

Stub out cigarettes. Smokers' alert: Women who smoke have more difficulty getting pregnant, according to studies by researchers at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. "But we don't yet understand the biological reason why," says Allen Wilcox, M.D., Ph.D., chief of the Epidemiology Branch at the institute. So if you smoke, you may better your chances of conception by giving it up.

Practice clean living. Smoking isn't the only vice that hurts your chances of conceiving. Studies at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences showed that women who drink just one cup of coffee daily may halve their chances of becoming pregnant each menstrual cycle (compared with those who don't get any caffeine). "Cutting out caffeine seems to help some women, but not others. It may be worth a try," says Dr. Wilcox.

And there are other factors to consider as well. "You need to get your act together--don' t use drugs, stop drinking, and avoid all unnecessary medications, " says Dr. Wisot. To add to their healthy lifestyle, he also recommends that women start taking prenatal vitamins.

Wear boxer shorts. For some men, fashionable underwear styles may be the shortcut to fatherhood. Tight-fitting jockey shorts pull the testicles close to the body, and body heat impairs sperm, according to Dr. Wisot. He recommends wearing looser-fitting boxer shorts.

Don't soak in a hot tub, guys. High-temperature water can also lower sperm count and motility, says Dr. Wisot, so the man who wants to be Dad should stay away from hot tubs.

Go missionary. Although sexual position usually has no bearing on conception, "the missionary position assures better contact of the semen with the cervix--and may make the difference in marginal cases," says Dr. Wisot.

Keep a calendar. Most fertility specialists say that you and your partner should try to conceive for at least one year before assuming you have a conception problem."Generally, if a woman has an average 28-day cycle, she will begin ovulating on the 14th day," says Dr. Wisot. "If she's on an irregular cycle, ovulation usually occurs 14 days before her next expected menstrual cycle." Keeping track on a calendar for a few months is a good way to see your pattern.

Get help from a kit. "There are several ovulation kits that you can buy over the counter that help tell a woman when she's ovulating," adds Dr. Wisot. "Starting on the 16th or 17th day before your period, you should test your urine each evening with these kits. When you get a positive test, have intercourse the next day."

Go for the gold the second time around. Probably the biggest mistake couples make is assuming that a man's first ejaculation is his best. Actually, a woman is more likely to get pregnant when a man ejaculates two days before she starts ovulation and then they wait until she is ovulating before they try to conceive. "Usually that second specimen is better, both in sperm count and motility," says Dr. Wisot.

4. Extract half a cup of coconut juice/milk, add crushed pepper corns. Massage the hair with this juice and wash the hair after 20 mins, with any herbal shampoo.

5. Amla extract, coconut milk with castor oil are cooling agents, but people with the tendency to get cold should avoid the use.

6 Grind a cup of curry leaves [murraiyya koieniji] with a cup of buttermilk [liquid yoghurt] and apply on the hair and scalp. Wash the hair after 20 mins with warm water. This stops the premature greying of hair.

7. The use of curry leaves [murraiya koienji] in our daily food, or make use in sauces shall help digestion, and stop the premature greying of hair.

8. Soak amla or in water overnight and grind with few leaves of henna [mehendi] , apply this paste to hair and scalp. Wash it off after 30 mins. This encourages the growth of hair.

9. Boil 1 cup of celery leaves with stems, strain and add juice of 1 sour lime [lemon]. You can rinse your hair with this after washing your hair. The hair looks healthy and lusturous.

10. Rinsing your hair after completion of washing the hairwith lemon juice shall give a shine to hair.

Female infertility treatment using Banyan Roots
The tender roots of the banyan tree are one of the valuable remedies found beneficial in the treatment of female sterility where there are no organic defect or congenital deformities. These roots should be dried in the shade and finely powdered. About twenty grams of this powder should be mixed with milk, which should be five times the weight of this powder, and taken at night for three consecutive nights after the monthly periods are over. When this remedy is administered, no other food should be eaten for a short while thereafter. This remedy should be repeated after the completion of the menstrual cycle every month till conception takes place.

An infusion of the fresh tender leaves of jambul fruit is an excellent remedy for sterility or miscarriage due to an ovarian or endometrium functional disorder. The infusion can be prepared by pouring 250 ml of boiling water over 20 gm of fresh jambul leaves, and allowing it to steep for two hours. The infusion may be taken with either two teaspoons of honey or 200 ml of buttermilk.

Seeds, nuts, curd and cottage cheese.Physical debility and functional faults of organic nature can be cured by simple and effective methods of natural treatment, of which optimum nutrition is an essential part. Fasting is the best remedy for the treatment of disorders resulting from toxins in the system. A short fast of two or three day should be undertaken at regular intervals by women who are unable to bear children. Diet is an important factor in the treatment of infertility. It should contain seeds, nuts, grains, vegetables, and fruits. These foods should be supplemented with milk, vegetable oils, and honey. Curd and cottage cheese are also
recommended. About seventy to eighty per cent of the diet should consist of foods in their natural uncooked state, because cooking destroys much of the nutritional value of most foods. Mud packs may be applied to the abdomen and sexual organs. The cold hip bath should be taken for ten minutes at a water temperature of 10degree C-18.3 degree C. For a wet girdle pack, a thin underwear wrung in cold water should be worn. Over this, a thick, dry cotton or woollen underwear should be worn. All cold treatments should be suspended during menstruation.


Here is what experts advise couples who are beginning to worry about their lack of success at conception

Give it a year. If you're under 28, your sex life is wonderful, and there's nothing in your medical history that points to a possible reproductive problem, our experts say keep trying for a year.

"About 60 percent of couples conceive within six months and 90 percent within the year," says Mitchell Levine, M.D., an obstetrician/ gynecologist with Woman-Care in Cambridge, Massachusetts. "When you get older, naturally, fertility decreases a bit."

Even women in their twenties don't ovulate every month, adds Joseph H. Bellina, M.D., Ph.D., director of Omega International Institute, a fertility clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana. In the thirties, the likelihood of monthly ovulation begins to lessen. That's why the older you are, the sooner you'll want to consult a specialist

Talk it out. Are you both sure you want that baby, or is one of you ambivalent? Our experts have had plenty of stories about couples who try half-heartedly for years but don't conceive until after one partner's uncertainty is resolved.

"I had a couple where the man was older, he had children from another marriage, and he wasn't sure he wanted to be a father at this point in his life," says Dr. Levine. "After a couple of sessions of really talking it out, he got really excited about becoming a father again. And that's when they conceived."

"It's eerie," adds Marilyn Milkman, M.D., a San Francisco obstetrician/ gynecologist and clinic faculty member at the University of California, San Francisco. "I've had four patients come in for fertility evaluations, walk out the door, and become pregnant within the month."

Let the passion take you. Forget about ovulatory charts, mucus charts, and scheduled sex until you absolutely have to worry about them. If you've got time, "let the passion take you," says Dr. Milkman. "Often that does better."

Ease up on your work schedule. Workaholism and constant pressure can put the squeeze on fertility, says Dr. Levine. "I see a lot of career people and I say to them 'take a look at what message you're giving to your body.' " For Dr. Levine, it makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint. Your body knows that a period of extreme stress is not an ideal time to get regnant.

Use the standard missionary position on days when you suspect the woman is fertile. The man-on-top style of intercourse is best for conception, says Dr. Bellina. The woman should remain lying down for 20 minutes after her partner ejaculates."I advise couples to have intercourse on those nights and then fall asleep," he says.

Stop smoking. Cigarettes can impair fertility in men and women. Studies of men have shown that smokers are more likely than nonsmokers to have sperm counts below the normal range, and to have less sperm motility. An English study of 17,032 women showed that the more cigarettes a woman smoked per day, the less fertile she was likely to be. Researchers suspect that smoking may alter hormone levels in a woman's body.


Here are some helpful measures that women can take to help increase the chances of pregnancy.

Make sure you're ovulating. Are you having regular periods? If not, you may not ovulate.

"One key to ovulation is noticeable changes in cervical mucus midway through the cycle," says Dr. Milkman. "The mucus will be thin, watery, and clear." Other signs include premenstrual breast tenderness,cramps, and what the Germans call mittelschmerz— ovulation pain, she says.

Another way to test ovulation is with a kit you buy at the drugstore. The kit, which reads levels of the ovulation release hormone in your urine, is only about 50 percent effective when you use it morning and night, says Dr. Bellina. Kits available only through your doctor's office tend to be more accurate. The best time to test is between 10:00 a.m. and noon.

If you get a positive result the first month you use it, great. If three cycles pass without giving you a positive result, it could mean that either the kit isn't sensitive enough for you or you're not ovulating. Either way, consult your doctor.

If you want to be a fertility goddess, try to look like one. Some women can induce ovulation by putting on a few pounds or taking off a few. In general, the closer your actual weight is to the ideal weight listed in the Metropolitan Life statistical tables, the better. You want to be within 95 percent of that ideal but below 120 percent.

Researchers have found that body fat can actually produce and store estrogen, a hormone that primes the body for pregnancy. When total body estrogen is too high or too low, the system can be thrown off balance. The more fat, the more estrogen produced .

In one study by reproductive endocrinologist G. William Bates, M.D., a professor of obstetrics and gynecology and dean of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine, 29 slim and nonovulatory women attained ovulation when they gained enough weight to put them within 95 percent of the ideal. Within three years of entering the program, 24 of the 29 became pregnant. In another study by Bates, 11 of 13 overweight and nonovulatory women regained ovulation after they lost weight: 10 conceived.

Go easy on the exercise. There are two reasons for this. If exercise causes you to lose too much body fat, you can stop ovulating. But even if you maintain normal body weight, you may still put yourself at risk if you spend more than an hour a day working hard at activities like running, cross-country skiing, or Swimming.

In a study of 346 women with ovulatory dysfunction, Beverly Green, M.D., a maternal and infant health specialist in Silverdale, Washington, found some evidence that women who had never been pregnant and who exercised vigorously for more than an hour a day increased their risk of infertility. The study found that exercise exerted its effect on fertility through a means independent of its ability to promote weight loss.

What's going on here? Dr. Green is not sure. Dr. Bellina suspects the endorphins, brain chemicals released during vigorous exercise, may, like morphine, affect a woman's prolactin levels. Elevated prolactin levels may interfere with ovulation.

At any rate, Dr. Green, a marathon runner who had no difficulty bearing children, cautions against overinterpreting her study. Her advice to dedicated athletes? "Try to cut back and see if it makes a difference."

Time it just right. If ovulation is occurring normally, maybe you're just not making love when you're fertile. It could be that simple, says Dr. Levine.

"Sometimes you've got two career people, they're having intercourse maybe once or twice a week, and they're just not hitting it," he says.

How do you remedy this? Try to predict ovulation. If you don't want to fuss much, you can predict the date of your next period and count back 14 days. Then make love every night from day 11 through day 16. Or you can buy an over-the-counter ovulation test kit, which will give you about 24 to 36 hours advance warning of ovulation. When the test indicates ovulation, make love that night and the night after, advises Dr. Bellina.

Thou shalt not douche. Anything that interferes with the pH level of the vagina can make life unfriendly for sperm. That includes douches, lubrication agents, and jellies."I tell people never to douche," says Dr. Milkman. "If you leave the vagina alone, it will do just fine at cleaning itself."

Go easy on caffeine. More than a cup of coffee a day can hurt your chances of becoming pregnant. The same holds true if you ingest the equivalent amount of caffeine from chocolate, soft drinks, or other caffeinated beverages.

In a study of 104 women who were attempting to become pregnant, researchers at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences found that those who drank more than the caffeine equivalent of a cup of coffee a day were half as likely to conceive as those who consumed less.


And on the male side of the equation, there is more advice.

Give your sperm time to bounce back. Any viral illness associated with fever can depress sperm count for up to three months, says Neil Baum, M.D., director of the Male Infertility Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a clinical assistant professor of urology at Tulane University School of Medicine. Bad colds can have the same effect.

Why is the effect so long-lasting? According to Dr. Baum, the normal cycle to produce a sperm is 78 days. It takes another 12 days for the sperm to mature. Healthy semen, by the way, contains in excess of 20 million sperm per teaspoon. If you looked at the sample under a microscope, more than 60 percent would appear to be swimming forward.

If your sperm count is healthy, a cold or flu probably won't knock it out of the fertility range. But if it's borderline, an illness may.

Say no to steroids. Anabolic steroids can shut off the pituitary gland and alter the body's natural
hormone balance, says Dr. Baum. "It's not uncommon for athletes to have infertility problems," he adds. "Long-time use of steroids can permanently damage the testicles."

Be wary of drugs and alcohol. Various over-the-counter and prescription drugs can depress sperm count. If you're not sure about the medications you use, consult your pharmacists or doctor. Tagamet, an ulcer medication, is one to watch out for. Others include chemotherapeutic agents and certain antibiotics. And various studies over the years show that chronic drinking and habitual marijuana use can be at fault, too.

Keep 'em cool. Nature's way of keeping your testicles a half-degree cooler than your core body
temperature is to house them outside the body. But if you heat the core temperature too much, or heat the testes themselves, you can affect sperm production.

Dr. Baum advises you to be careful about excessive physical activity, temperature extremes, hot tubs, and close-fitting underwear if you want to father a child.

Remember that abstinence makes the sperm grow stronger. If a baby is what you're after, daily intercourse can be too much of a good thing because it can decrease your sperm count.

"For the average couple, this doesn't matter," says Dr. Levine. "But in a borderline case, this may do it." Most experts recommend you abstain for two days prior to the woman's fertile period to let the sperm build up, then make love every other day.

Here are some simple home remedies to deal with wrinkles on skin and prevent the formation of new ones

Mix 1 teaspoon of raspberry juice with one teaspoon of orange juice. Add one teaspoon of olive oil, whipped egg yolk and 2 tablespoons of grind oatmeal. Wait for 20 minutes and smear on face. Wait until it gets dry and wash off with warm water.

Mix 2 tablespoons of Vodka with 1 tablespoon of fennel seeds and half a teaspoon of honey. Boil and then refrigerate for 3 days. Apply on face with a cotton ball and wash off with warm water.

Pregnancy is one of two causes of stretch marks. The other is weight gain.

"Stretch marks occur on the breasts, hips and stomach during pregnancy, plus other areas such as the thighs when you gain weight," says Margaret A. Weiss, M.D., assistant professor of dermatology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore. They're triggered when skin is stretched to the max, which occurs when growth is so rapid that your skin's elastic fibers break. And though it occurs less often, stretch marks can also be caused by some hormonal problems, certain diseases and medications, says Dr. Weiss.

Stretch Marks are slightly depressed linear marks with varying length and breadth found in pregnancy. They are predominantly found in the abdominal wall below the umbilicus,sometimes over the thighs and the breasts.

Initially these are pinkish but after the delivery, the scar tissue contract and obliterates the capillaries and they become glistening white in appearance.

Apart from the mechanical stretching of the skin, increase in aldosterone production during pregnancy is the responsible factors.

Besides pregnancy some other causes of stretch marks are: Rapidly gaining weight (Bulking cycle), Puberty, Obesity, Heredity, Skin Type, Stress, Poor Diet and Sudden Environmental Change

Every woman in her life develops stretch marks. Some women have a family disposition to develop stretch marks whereas others do not develop them at all. Once the stretch marks develop they will stay with you forever; but with time they will be less noticeable.

Stretch marks are often think to be scars but they are different from scars. They are not scars because they are not comprised of fibrotic tissue. Instead, stretch marks represent a flattened, thin epidermis overlying gaps in the dermis left by stretched or torn elastin fibers.


Lie down on the floor. Bend that knee and place your foot in front of your bottom leg, then try to raise the bottom leg up about six inches. Then lower the leg to the floor. Begin with 8 to 10 bottom-leg raises on each side at least three times a week. Slowly increase the workout.

Put your hands down at your sides to hold on to your chair and swing your legs up until they're fully extended. Then lift each leg, from foot to hip, about three to six inches. To firm your bottom, lie facedown on the floor, arms out at your shoulders, elbows bent and palms flat on the floor. Now lift one leg, heel first, off the floor about three to six inches, then lower it back to the floor and repeat the lift with your other leg. For stretch marks treatment, diet should be rich in protein and foods rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin E, they promote good tissue growth

Massaging your body with olive oil or Vitamin E may help. Prepare a mixture by adding one ounce of carrier oil ( try avocado, sweet almond, jojoba, they are the best ) with seven drops of lavender and five drops of chamomile. Apply on the affected areas.

Apply cocoa butter and/ or elastin cream through out the body. These are very good for stretch marks.

Take 1/2-cup virgin olive oil, 1/4-cup aloe Vera gel, liquid from 6 capsules of Vitamin E, liquid from 4 capsules of Vitamin A. Mix all the ingredients together in a blender. After that store the mixture in the fridge. Apply the oil externally all over the places where the stretch marks commonly appear (abdomen, hips, thighs and breasts). This is an effective home remedy for and by using this continuously stretch marks can be prevented.

Mix in a blender 1/2-cup virgin olive oil, 1/2-cup aloe Vera gel and six capsules vitamin E oil (opened). Keep this oil refrigerated and massage into areas with stretch marks at least once a day. This is also an effective home remedy for stretch marks. You can cure or remove recent stretch marks with high doses of tretinoin applied to the mark. Tretinoin in the form of Retisol-A, Retin-A, Stieva-A or Rejuva-A can be used that cause a realignment of the collagen in the skin.

Lift weights to tighten the surrounding skin. The stretch marks will appear smoother. For strech marks removal apply cocoa butter stretch creams in the morning and at night to get rid of stretch marks. It works in some cases and not in all.


"Moisturizers, wrinkle cream and massage don't get rid of stretch marks," says Dr. Weiss. (For a possible exception, see "Vitamin Cream Works Wonders" on page 526.) And makeup doesn't cover them very well. The best you can do is to minimize stretch marks, says Dr. Weiss. Firming any areas hat have stretch marks--usually the thighs, hips and abdomen--makes stretch marks less apparent, she says. Women doctors suggest these exercises. (You can expect to see results in about two months.)

Start with 20 leg raises. One of the best exercises to work the hip and leg area, which is where stretch marks are most likely to occur, is a straight leg raise exercise, says Carol Garber, Ph.D., director of the Human Performance Lab at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

To begin, lie down on the floor on your side, legs straight, one on top of the other. Then
extend the arm that's floor-side down over your head and rest your head on your arm. Put your other hand flat on the floor in front of your waist. Keeping both legs straight and toes pointed straight ahead, raise your top leg from hip to toe as far as it will go, then lower it back to the floor.

"Don't just jerk your leg up in the air and let it fall back down," says Dr. Garber. "You can get injured if you raise it too quickly. Instead, raise and lower your leg in a slow, controlled motion.

"Begin with 8 to 10 leg raises on each side at least three times a week," says Dr. Garber. Then, as each exercise begins to seem easy, add a leg raise or two until you've worked your way up to 20 leg raises three times a week.

Do 20 inner-thigh exercises. To firm your inner thigh, lie down on the floor just as you did for the leg raises, says Dr. Garber. But this time, instead of raising your top leg, bend that knee and place your foot in front of your bottom leg, then try to raise the bottom leg up about six inches. Then lower the leg to the floor.

Begin with 8 to 10 bottom-leg raises on each side at least three times a week, says Dr.
Garber. Then, as each exercise begins to seem easy, add a couple of bottom-leg raises
until you've worked your way up to 20 bottom-leg raises three times a week.

Swing your legs. One incredibly simple exercise that firms the whole thigh is to sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor, hands either by your sides or in your lap, then swing both legs up so that they're extended straight out in front of you at seat level, says Dr. Garber. Then swing them back down.

You can swing your legs whenever you feel like it--when you're on the phone or watching television, for example--or you can incorporate the exercise into your workout. Whichever you choose, your goal should be 20 swings three times a week.

Lift off. If you get bored with swinging, put your hands down at your sides to hold on to your chair and swing your legs up until they're fully extended. Then lift each leg, from foot to hip, about three to six inches, says Dr. Garber. Finally, lower your leg until both legs are straight out in front of you once again.

Start out with 8 to 10 lifts, then work your way up to 20 lifts three times a week.

Firm your butt. To firm your bottom, lie face-down on the floor, arms out at your shoulders, elbows bent and palms flat on the floor, says Dr. Garber. Now lift one leg, heel first, off the floor about three to six inches, then lower it back to the floor and repeat the lift with your other leg.

Start out by lifting each leg 8 to 10 times three times a week. Add a couple of lifts to each workout as they get easy. Your goal is 20 lifts three times a week.

Keep the scale steady. Since extra pounds create stretch marks, try to keep your weight on an even keel, says Dr. Weiss. To control calories, avoid high-fat foods, watch your portions and get more physically active. Walk instead of drive, take the stairs instead of an elevator, do your own yard work instead of hiring the neighbor's kid.

  12. For tooth whitening, brush your teeth properly and eat the right food to keep your teeth healthy.
  13. It is also wise to note that eating sweet snacks between meals affect teeth more than eating sweet snacks with meals.
  14. Brush your outer and inner surfaces at 45-degree angle. On chewing surfaces, hold the brush flat and brush back and forth. On inside surfaces of front teeth, tilt brush vertically and use gentle up and won strokes with toe of the brush.
  15. Do not brush after every meal. It will affect the enamel.
  16. Avoid sticky sweets like toffee or hard candies like mints.

Moles are small-pigmented tumors, consisting of clusters of nevus cells containing melanin, a pigment of the skin. Moles vary in color; some being yellow or brown and others are purple and black. They may be large or small, flat or raised, smooth, hairy, and some even have the appearance of warts. A few moles may be present at birth and are known as birthmarks. Occasionally a mole may become malignant, a condition known as melanoma, a particular dangerous form of skin cancer.

Ordinary moles are usually benign and the chance of their developing into malignant tumors is very less. But a special kind of mole called a junction nevus may appear like any other mole, and yet it can become highly malignant. Any mole that is growing rapidly and turning a darker color may be malignant and should be removed.

Generally malignant melanomas are more likely to develop in the legs. Moles that are constantly subjected to irritation as from belts or tight bands are always more likely to undergo malignant change. Such moles should be removed. As a rule, if there is hair growing out of the mole, it is not likely to be malignant.

People who have fair skin have greater effect of the sun on the skin. These individuals are more sensitive to sunburn as well as changes in moles, so it is very necessary for the use of protective sunscreen lotions. Moles may be pigmented or non-pigmented. If pigmented, color may vary from light tan to black. A mole that is blackish in color, and especially if elevated and rough in appearance, may be a melanoma.

  1. Prepare a paste of baking soda and castor oil. Soak some gauze in this mixture and tape this gauze over the mole. Leave the gauze on overnight. This will possibly remove moles over time.
  2. The real cure (and prevention) for the moles is to eat enough foods that contain potassium or take apple cider vinegar that contain potassium.
  3. Take a small piece of garlic; place it over the mole, scraping the flat side of the garlic that touches the mole so the juice can get onto it. Keep this for the whole day and night. Within two to three days, the mole will disappear.
  4. Rub some iodine on the mole at night for two three days. This is an effective remedy for the moles. T
  5. ake some Ground drumstick pods and leaves and mix with fresh limejuice, and apply on pimples. This is also good for blackheads and dark spots.
  6. Make a paste of roasted & powdered pomegranate skin with fresh lime juice and apply over acne, boils, pimple, blackheads and whiteheads.
  7. Apply grated potatoes as poultice to treat skin blemishes, wrinkles, boils, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, etc.
  8. Take a piece of ripe (or raw) banana peel and apply the pulp side to the wart and cover with a band-aid. Remove it only when taking bath. Apply daily for many months. This is very effective home remedy for moles.
  9. For old moles, chew some cashews and place it on the moles. Moles will disappear in 3-4 weeks.
  10. Open the stem of a dandelion and rub on the warts 2-3 times daily until the wart disappears in 3-4 weeks.
  11. Chop one raw onion and cover with salt and leave overnight. Apply the juice to the warts 2-3 times daily until warts disappear.
  12. Apply the juice of cauliflower on the moles daily until it falls.
  13. Apply a drop of grapefruit seed extract to the moles and cover with a band-aid, 2-3 times daily. This is also very effective home remedy for moles and your moles will disappear in 3-4 weeks.
  14. Rub a slice of fresh pineapple or raw potato peelings or radish 2-3 times daily on your mole.
  15. Apply the milky juice exuding from the stems of figs and leaves.
  16. Put the contents of one 100 I.U. of natural vitamin E capsule on a band-aid and cover the mole. Moles will disappear soon.
  17. Apply vitamin E on the wart, crush a clove of raw garlic and place it on the wart, and cover it with an adhesive bandage.
  18. Soak a small piece of cotton in aloe gel and tape over the wart. Add more gel every three hours. Change cotton daily. The mole should begin to lighten in a few days and in a few weeks may disappear.
  19. Rub the mole daily with a piece of white chalk. Apply a drop of grape seed extract directly to the mole and cover with a Band-Aid; repeat twice daily. The mole will turn white and will disappear in about a week.
  20. Another effective home remedy for moles is - Apply milkweed juice to the mole.
  21. A tea made from purple coneflower (Echinacea), burdock root or red clover may help in the prevention of moles.
  22. Take some green (not fully ripe) black walnuts and make a few incisions in the outer shell; rub the juice on the moles. There may be a slight stinging sensation or the area may turn brown, but this is only temporary. This is a very effective remedy for moles and moles will disappear within a few days.
  23. Simply apply the purest honey on your mole, keep applying it morning and night until the mole disappears.
  24. Soak your mole in warm water for 15-20 minutes and dry. Apply apple cider vinegar with a cotton ball and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with water and dry.
  25. Dissolve an aspirin with a small drop of water and apply to the mole. Cover with a band-aid. Repeat twice daily.

Healthy cartilage is very elastic, able to recoil after any blow or pressure upon its surface. But when this useful substance degenerates there may be a rough grating sound when the joint is moved. Stiffness and pain may follow, particularly in the morning or after a period of rest. The joint may also begin to swell, as excess synovial fluid is poured out to help relieve the pain and heal the tender inflamed joint. All near by tissues, such as tendons, fascia, and muscles may also be involved.
The word arthritis means inflammation of the joints, but in early stages the whole body is usually involved. One or two joints may become completely deformed leaving the patient handicapped and somewhat weakened.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a serious disease that involves the joints but also the muscles, tendons, and other tissues of the body. Rheumatoid arthritis begins mildly with some swelling, pain and tenderness in the joints of the fingers, wrists, knees and feet.   5. Drink some radish juice with sugar added to it to get rid of joint and muscle pains.
  6. Soak Spiegel seeds in water, make a paste and apply it on the joints for immediate relief from pain.
  7. Drink 15 grams of fresh bathu juice daily with an empty stomach without adding any salt or sugar to it.
  8. Massage the affected area with any oil will to provide relief from the pain.

Simmer 5 to 7minutes, then add: 1 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons almond oil (cold pressed). Bring just to the boiling point (but do not boil). Add honey or maple syrup to taste. Sip slowly as a hot tea. This is an effective home remedy for joint and muscle pains.

  17. Another very effective home remedy for joint and muscle pains is - Mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and 2 teaspoons of honey in a small glass of warm water. Take it once or twice a day to get relief.
  18. Rub the aching joints with hot vinegar to get some relief from pain.
  19. Mix two parts pure olive oil and one part kerosene. It makes a wonderful ointment for the affected joints.
  20. Add one-tablespoon cod liver oil to the juice of one orange, whip and drink before sleeping.
  21. One raw clove of garlic every day is very beneficial. This clove can be fried in ghee (clarified butter) or castor oil. Take for 2 months.
  22. Guggulu is very helpful in curing arthritis. Eat half a teaspoon twice a day after meals with warm water.
  23. Drink carrot juice, cucumber juice, eat cooked vegetables and/or vegetable soups, and drink coconut water for a healthy body.
  24. On an empty stomach eat 2-3 walnuts or some coconut. This is also an effective home remedy for joint and muscle pains.
  25. Avoid mental tensions that lead to stress.
  26. Lose weight, if necessary, to get close to your ideal weight. If you weigh less, there is less weight on your joints and less pain.
